The Flat is on the ground floor and has a private garden. The goal was to extend the kitchen and create skylights within the extended area.The area is now well-illuminated because of the skylights and wide sliding doors. There was an unused open space on the left side of the flat. By extending the flat in a L-shape, it has now a coherent relationship to adjacent buildings. The extended space is encased with large skylights that allow plenty of natural light to enter, while the glass sliding doors are intended to open the space to the outside. It was crucially important to create a space that is distinctive but also accommodates the area where its situated.
 
The Flat had previously featured a small kitchen with an adjoining small dining room. The owners are young professionals whose desire was an extensive functional space therefore functionality was the main purpose of the project. To enhance the living space there is now an overhauled patio throughout the extended rear wall. The end result is a bright and vibrant open floor plan that suits the life style of its inhabitants.
